Carter Wickham is a London family office with interests across private investments, listed equities, and property development. The Principal is hiring an Executive Assistant to support him directly, replacing a long-tenured EA who is retiring after fourteen years.
The role is what a senior family-office EA role looks like — calendar management at a senior level, complex domestic and international travel, the coordination of a small leadership team (Principal + three Investment Directors + a Property Director), document preparation for board meetings and investor calls, and the discretion to anticipate what’s needed before being asked.
Who fits: ten-plus years as a senior EA, ideally in a family office, private equity, hedge fund, or partnership context (Magic Circle, Big Four, private bank). Demonstrably strong written communication. The kind of EA who is genuinely a thinking partner, not a calendar-keeper. References will be taken seriously.
£70-85k + discretionary bonus. Hybrid — four days in the Mayfair office, one from home. The role demands availability outside business hours occasionally; the bonus reflects this.
Briefed by Emily Clarke (Senior Consultant, Executive Support practice). The brief is confidential and references checked before any introduction.
